It is always great, when you get the chance, to watch the grass grow and weed out the dandelions when it gets too much. It is the same thing when you get to watch an artist from the infantile stages of their career in a longstanding genre that has greats like Nikki Giovanni, Ursula Rucker, Sonia Sanchez and so many others who have stepped out before you. Well I am proud to have the opportunity to write this preview of the upcoming and anticipated album from the artist known as Epiphany who brings to us as an offering of her craft “Soul Flower”. Soul Flower is set to release on October 27, 2009 in both CD and Download format for your consumption. I recently had Epiphany visit us here on FVC for an interview about her album and was given the chance to check out six of the sixteen tracks that will be loaded in this project…wow ten more of what I believe to awesome pieces of work unheard. Anyways, from what I am listening to, this is shaping to be a wonderful body of work with some very delectable pieces that will leave your ears and soul wanting for the rest of the content. If these six tracks are any inclination of what is to come then hang on we are in for a big one ladies and gentle men, get your pesos ready to invest in one of the best albums to hit the shelves this fall. More in the review after the album releases next week. Find out more by visiting Epiphany's website at www.epiphanyshouse.net
